She Chose Herself, and the Game Changed

Sep 23
2 min read

The game changes when you stop waiting to be chosen.

Chosen for the relationship.

Chosen for the friendship.

Chosen for the opportunity.

Chosen for the room.

Chosen by people who keep making you question your worth.

At some point, a woman realizes:

I can choose me.

And that is where reinvention begins.

She stops chasing.

Stops auditioning.

Stops convincing.

Stops giving unlimited access to people who bring limited value to her life.

She becomes more intentional about her time.

Her peace.

Her relationships.

Her goals.

Her future.

Choosing yourself doesn’t mean you stop loving other people.

It means you finally include yourself in the love you give so freely.

And yes, some people may notice the difference.

They may call you distant.

Different.

Changed.

Maybe you are.

Because the woman who once tolerated everything has finally realized that peace has a price.

And she’s no longer willing to pay for everybody else’s comfort with her own happiness.

The game didn’t change because everybody around her changed.

She changed the rules.

She chose herself.

And everything started looking different.
