Carrie Adames: I am a healthcare operations leader, published model, former Miss NJ Teen All American, and media personality whose career spans both executive leadership and the fashion and media industries. As a Supervisor of Clinical Operations, I have built a reputation for leadership, operational excellence, and team development within healthcare. Beyond my professional career, I have been recognized as a Maxim Cover Girl Finalist and featured in numerous publications while continuing to represent brands that align with empowerment, confidence, and authenticity.

She’s Winning: What inspired you to start your business, brand, or journey?

Carrie Adames: My journey began with a desire to challenge myself and step outside of my comfort zone. Early on, I was drawn to opportunities that allowed me to build confidence, express creativity, and connect with others. Participating in pageants gave me my first introduction to being in front of an audience and taught me valuable lessons about discipline, professionalism, and self-belief. As I continued to grow, those experiences opened doors to modeling, media opportunities, and brand collaborations. What started as a personal challenge evolved into a passion for storytelling, self-expression, and inspiring others to pursue goals that may feel beyond their reach.

She’s Winning: What has been your biggest challenge, and how did you overcome it?

Carrie Adames: One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to believe in myself during periods when life felt uncertain. Like many people, I’ve faced setbacks, personal struggles, and moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path. Balancing responsibilities, overcoming obstacles, and continuing to pursue my goals required resilience and determination. I overcame those challenges by refusing to give up on myself, focusing on progress rather than perfection, and trusting that every setback was teaching me something valuable. Today, I view challenges as opportunities for growth, and that mindset continues to help me move forward both personally and professionally.

She’s Winning: What advice would you give to a woman who is chasing her dreams?

Carrie Adames: My advice to any woman chasing her dreams is to stop waiting until you feel completely ready. Confidence doesn’t come before action—it comes from taking action. There will always be reasons to doubt yourself, compare your journey to others, or wonder if you’re good enough. Keep going anyway. Be willing to invest in yourself, embrace opportunities that challenge you, and understand that setbacks are not signs to quit—they’re part of the process. Stay focused on your vision, protect your peace, and don’t let anyone else define your potential. Most importantly, remember that your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Success isn’t about perfection; it’s about persistence.
